BraffBlaser

Cosmopolite - Born in Brazil in 1970, Malcolm Persson Braff consider himself as a world citizen : he grows up in Dakar, in Senegal, before coming to Switzerland when he was 13 years old.
 
His prolific career is filled with many different projects. Malcolm Braff discovered jazz when he was 19 years old and two years later he was already playing with his trio “Kwartet” at the Cully Jazz Festival. Since then, his musical journey consist of an accumulation of beautiful projects: more than 20 albums as a leader, he played 4 times in a row at the Montreux Jazz Festival, six times at the Cully Jazz Festival and many worldwide tours. His incredible success led Malcolm Braff to sign a contract with the famous label, Blue Note (Together and the Preacher). Recently, Malcolm released a new album with his trio (Yele on UNIT records) including Alex Blake on double bass and Yaya Ouattara on Djembé. He is also part of a new project with Erik Truffaz and Indian musician.
